The best Claude Code plugins for shipping a product (2026)

Claude Code plugins bundle skills, commands, agents, hooks and MCP servers you install with one command. Anthropic’s official marketplace alone lists over 300. These are the ones that help you get a product out of your repo and in front of people: review, security, front end, deploy, payments, monitoring, docs and the launch itself — all checked in the marketplace catalogs and their publishers’ repos.

How plugins work, in one minute

  • A plugin is a folder with a .claude-plugin/plugin.json manifest and any mix of skills, slash commands, subagents, hooks, MCP servers and tools (Claude Code docs: plugins).
  • A marketplace is a repository that lists plugins. Anthropic’s official one, claude-plugins-official, is added for you; its plugins come from Anthropic, its partners and vendors (Discover plugins).
  • Install with /plugin install <name>@<marketplace> in a session, or browse with /plugin. For another marketplace, add it first: /plugin marketplace add owner/repo.
/plugin install code-review@claude-plugins-official

Review your code

Before you ship, a second reader catches what you stopped seeing.

  • code-review Anthropic A /code-review command: several agents review a pull request and score their confidence, so weak findings are filtered out. /plugin install code-review@claude-plugins-official
  • pr-review-toolkit Anthropic /review-pr plus six focused reviewers: silent failures, tests, types, comments, simplification. /plugin install pr-review-toolkit@claude-plugins-official
  • coderabbit CodeRabbit A second-opinion review backed by 40+ static analyzers. /plugin install coderabbit@claude-plugins-official
  • compound-engineering Every A whole workflow — brainstorm, plan, work, review, then write down what you learned — as /ce- commands. Add its marketplace first: /plugin marketplace add EveryInc/compound-engineering-plugin. /plugin install compound-engineering@compound-engineering-plugin

Keep it secure

Cheap insurance before strangers start using it.

  • security-guidance Anthropic Hooks only: warns on risky edits and reviews your diff for injection, XSS, SSRF, leaked secrets and more. /plugin install security-guidance@claude-plugins-official
  • claude-security Anthropic A deep vulnerability scan whose findings are challenged before you see them, with verified patches. /plugin install claude-security@claude-plugins-official
  • semgrep Semgrep Real-time security scanning with Semgrep’s rules. /plugin install semgrep@claude-plugins-official

Build the front end

So the launch screenshots look like a product, not a template.

  • frontend-design Anthropic A skill for distinctive, non-generic UI. /plugin install frontend-design@claude-plugins-official
  • figma Figma Figma’s MCP server and skills: designs and tokens into code. /plugin install figma@claude-plugins-official
  • playwright Microsoft (listed by Anthropic) Drives a real browser for end-to-end tests and screenshots. /plugin install playwright@claude-plugins-official
  • chrome-devtools-mcp Google Live Chrome: performance traces, network and console, to find what’s slow before visitors do. /plugin install chrome-devtools-mcp@claude-plugins-official

Deploy and host it

Pick the one for your stack.

See what breaks and what people do

Launch day traffic finds the bugs your tests didn’t.

  • sentry Sentry Sentry’s MCP: issues, traces and Seer’s root-cause analysis, from the terminal. /plugin install sentry@claude-plugins-official
  • posthog PostHog Analytics, feature flags, experiments and error tracking. /plugin install posthog@claude-plugins-official

Docs and email

  • mintlify Mintlify Docs sites in MDX. /plugin install mintlify@claude-plugins-official

  • context7 Upstash Up-to-date library docs, so the agent stops guessing at APIs. /plugin install context7@claude-plugins-official

Market it

Not code, but part of shipping.

  • marketing Anthropic SEO audits, content drafts, campaign plans and competitive briefs. Add its marketplace first: /plugin marketplace add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins. /plugin install marketing@knowledge-work-plugins

Launch it

  • launchdog Launchdog (us) Launchdog’s MCP server and a launch skill: your agent drafts the listing from your site, books a free or paid week on our board and adds the badge. Add its marketplace first: /plugin marketplace add DevStarks/launchdog-agent-plugin. /plugin install launchdog@launchdog

Before you install one

  • A plugin can run code on your machine with your user’s permissions. Its hooks, MCP servers and tools run outside Claude Code’s sandbox and permission rules; its skills and agents go into Claude’s context as instructions (Plugin security).
  • Anthropic doesn’t review third-party marketplaces. Read the “Will install” pane, and for anything unfamiliar its hooks/hooks.json and .mcp.json.
  • Every enabled plugin costs context on every turn. Keep the ones you use; claude plugin details <name> shows what each one adds.
  • Updates: official marketplace plugins update automatically; third-party ones don’t until you refresh their marketplace.

Then launch it

Shipped? The launch checklist covers the run-up, and where to launch compares the boards. If you’d rather your agent did the listing, Launchdog works from Claude Code with or without the plugin.

Questions

How do I install a Claude Code plugin?

In Claude Code, run /plugin install <name>@<marketplace>, or /plugin to browse. Plugins in Anthropic’s official marketplace (claude-plugins-official, added automatically) install by name; for any other marketplace, add it first with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo.

What can a Claude Code plugin contain?

Skills, slash commands, subagents, hooks, MCP and LSP servers, monitors and command-line tools — any mix of them, described by a .claude-plugin/plugin.json manifest.

Are Claude Code plugins safe?

A plugin can run code on your machine with your permissions, and its hooks and MCP servers run outside Claude Code’s permission rules. Anthropic doesn’t review third-party marketplaces. Install from publishers you trust and read what a plugin will install before you say yes.

How many plugins should I install?

Only the ones you use. Every enabled plugin’s skills and agents are described to Claude on every turn, which costs context; prune the ones you haven’t used recently.
